Born in the South and raised in the PNW, Benedict’s path has never followed a straight line. His life has been fascinating, adventurous, and unconventional, marked by joy and grief. He’s owned several businesses, including coffee shops and retail ventures, worked in construction and design and built a career in real estate — all while carrying a deep pull toward creativity and expression. Over time, he found his home in the desert, as a place to create.

Now focused on poetry, spoken word, and visual art, Benedict draws from personal history shaped by struggle, love, loss, and transformation. His work often reflects a lifelong tension between silence and voice, stillness and movement, survival and becoming. Whether through words, sound, or space, he’s committed to making work that feels lived in, honest, and human.
